Obama Claims We Will Never Recover

It is now official. The stimulus plan is a pack of bologna. The reason I can say this is Obama has just declared the sky will fall if Congress does not pass it.

"This recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse," Obama wrote in the newspaper piece titled, "The Action Americans Need."

Just as the Global Warming nitwits call for immediate action as the weather gets colder, Obama is pulling the chicken little routine with the most improbable of claims, that we will NEVER recover if we don't have HIS plan. It is often a sure sign that any situation has peaked when the "experts" are all claiming that the situation, whether good or bad, will continue forever. The most reliable statement that signals the end of a trend is "It is different this time." They said it when the internet stocks and the real estate markets were hot and they're saying it about this recession. Both those markets crashed because the rules of economics don't change, just as this recession will end as all others have unless the politicians do as they did in the 1930's and try and fix it because "it's different this time."

Rest assured. The worst is probably here and we can look for relief soon, unless the politicians continue to throw fuel on the fire with their "solutions."
