Democrats Trash US Flags
From the people who don't wish to have their patriotism questioned.
Not surprising if you knew the first day of the Democrat convention they had to scroll the words of the Pledge of Allegiance across the big screen so everyone could keep up.
Update 4:05 pm 6 Sept. The Democrats are saying those flags were being stored next to those dumpsters.

This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage — with dramatic effect, no doubt — and tell the story.
"What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags," a Republican official emailed. "We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag."

Damon Jones, spokesman for the Democratic National Convention Committee, released a statement saying McCain should applaud the fact that thousands of American flags were “proudly waved” at their convention.
“But instead his supporters wrongfully took leftover bundles of our flags from the stadium to play out a cheap political stunt calling into question our patriotism,” he said.

|I went to a Redskins game with my daughter on a September 11 a couple years after the attack, and they handed out flags to everyone for a memorial at half time.
When the game ended we went around and picked up all the flags we could find left in the stands around us. We got about 8 or 10. The vast majority of people not only didn't throw them on the ground, or in the trash, but instead they, too, were picking up all they saw to take home. I still have mine.
What does it say that at the convention for a major American party filled with all the delegates, party leaders, and party faithful, they can't give away all of their flags, and after the convention can't get rid of them fast enough?
They act like you do when you are 6 and your parents make you wear a little suit and a bow tie on Sunday. Soon as you get home you rip it off and change back to real clothes. It ain't you! For Democrats, holding a flag feels just as uncomfortable. They know they are being fake. And the last thing they want in their house is that damned symbol of American hegmony and jingoistic... well, you know what I mean.
I agree, democrats aren't comfortable with the US flag, unless its upside down, under some other flag, on fire, or smeared with something filthy.
