The Minuteman and the Constitution Party

I don't see this as an eventuality. John McCain may be enjoying the support of the MSM and various other nit wits and Democrats, but the Republican base sees him for what he is, a kook. Besides, the 2008 election is too far in the future to begin to handicap at this point. Mr. Gilchrist has some political experience and should use it to seek an office that would better serve one who has a central platform issue. His run for Congress in the 48th district of California only pulled a 25.5% vote, but for a third party candidate before the latest illegal immigrant rallies that is quite impressive. It is unfortunate that it is too late for him to move to Arizona and run for Governor. Gov. Janet Napolitano has played games with the border issue talking tough but vetoing any tough legislation. That would be an ideal position to launch his political aspirations along with the Constitution Party's.
In the mean time actually building a fence on the border would make a statement that the politicians could not ignore. More importantly they may jump on the band wagon making a run for office by Mr. Gilchrist unnecessary. Anyone entering into the world of elective office faces certain peril. It is a corrupting environment that has marginalized the best of people.

|The best place for this fella to get his point made is in the primaries as a candidate for one of the "big two". Otherwise he may very well cause the election of the greater evil.
