Once More Into the Breach

Finding Nonsense and Beating it Sensible

I used to watch TV news and yell at the box. Now I jump up from the couch, sit at the computer and begin to type laughing maniacally saying "Wait until they read this." It's more fun than squashing tadpoles

Thank God for the Food Channel

Even a news junkie like me has to have a break. Listening to Bob Beckel on Hannity & Colmes has me reaching for the wood shampoo dispenser. The tactic he's using to discredit the WOT is nothing more than say it, say it again, say it really loud then turn red an just start shooting.

Never once today has he offered anything but complaints and gratuitous statements (I've seen him on Fox Morning News, some afternoon show, Hannity's radio program and just now on H&C). It's at times like this that I retreat to the Food Channel where nothing but Pasta, Poultry, and Potatoes comes into my living room ...wait...no, no it can't be, oh it is. My last refuge is lost. Emiril has Rosie O'Donnell on his show! NOOOOOOO!

Wake up at Basil's

A lesson of political life that conservatives, perhaps to their moral credit and certainly to their ploitical chagrin simply refuse to learn, understand or employ. It used to be called "the big lie" - said often (every opportunity), by everyone speaking and pretty soon people will believe it. Then it will be recorded as fact and presto chango its history.

Advertising, of a sort, and it works.

The antidote is more of the same with the addesd twist of truth, just dont lie; tell the truth, say it loudly, demand it be said by everyone, all the time unitl it be known and acknowledged.
