Malaysia's Prime Minister and the Cartoon Riots

Abdullah Badawi, Malaysia's prime minister Is making a fairly lame attempt to defuse the clash between the West and Islam. As always the impetus is placed on the West. It all sounds familiar, in fact it sound just like the Palestinians and Israel.

Malaysia's prime minister says a huge chasm has opened between the West and Islam, fuelled by Muslim frustrations over Western foreign policy.

Abdullah Badawi, seen as promoting a moderate form of Islam in largely Muslim Malaysia, said many Westerners saw Muslims as congenital terrorists.

"The West should treat Islam the way it wants Islam to treat the West and vice versa. They should accept one another as equals," he said.

We went to Bosnia and stopped the Serbs from pushing out the Moslems, we went to Albania and did the same. We got 9-11 for our trouble. I think that Islam needs to demonstrate some good intentions on their part before we start accepting any pronouncements from various leaders that we should all just get along.

As he spoke at a conference in Kuala Lumpur, thousands protested outside at cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

"Long live Islam. Destroy Denmark. Destroy Israel. Destroy George Bush. Destroy America," protesters shouted as they marched to the Danish embassy in the rain from a nearby mosque.

The Moslem world speaks with a forked tongue. The clerics spark violent riots and then run out and say they just want to live in peace. They send their children out to blow themselves up killing as many as possible and blame us for the violence. He's right when he say the West sees Moslems as congenital terrorists. Whenever there's some dispute the Moslem world calls for death to everyone. I don't see a resolution because I don't see Islam as willing to accept anything less than total submission of the rest of the world to their demands.
